I was born in a broken family. That later set the tone for how I would represent myself at school, church, and even at work. For a long time, I felt trapped in my life, until one day, I became tempted to commit suicide. After evaluating the potential outcome, I started writing instead.
A little girl was born, dragged up in an informal foster care system (is what I called moving from house to house), and left to her own devices to make life what she willed. I felt like a jungle kid. As a child, I referred to myself as the ‘rebel piglet’. So, I became good at creating stories and later, writing them.
